Dallas Mavericks Wreath

My friend Linda loves the Dallas Mavericks, especially Dirk, so I decided to make her a Mavericks Christmas Wreath to put at her desk. I used misc holiday picks and made rosettes with Mavericks Logo, picture of Dirk, and his number. I learned to make a bow on Youtube and attached it to the top. I am going to give it to her Monday and can't wait to see her response.
Thanks Marie for all your help with this one!
Happy Crafting!

Thanksgiving Treat Bags

Today my friends Rona and Marie came over to help me make some Thanksgiving Treat bags. I plan to fill them with special treats and put one at each place setting on my Thanksgiving table. We bought the kraft bags at Hobby Lobby (party section) and used Cricut Thanksgiving cartridge to cut the turkey. The tags were cut with fabulous finds cartridge. The stamp was Stampin up Grateful Greetings set. I hope my guests enjoy them.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Christmas Party Invitation

My Boss asked me to make invitations for our company Christmas Party. I'm not much of a flyer kind of girl so these are what I came up with. There are lots of little details but thanks to my Gypsy and Cricut it went much faster then I anticipated. The P on the sign is our company Logo and colors.

Recipe:

Black Mat - Platinum School House 5.75 x 4.25
Light Blue Mat Platinum School House 5.5 x 4.0
Opening Light Blue Platinum School House 2.5 x 3.25
Snowman - Gypsy Wandering 2.65 x 3.0
Accessories - Gypsy Wandering (same as above)
Sunglasses - Smiley Cards
Snow - Christmas 5.3 x .75
Sign - Paper Dolls for Everyday 1.75 x 2.65
Red Frame - Platinum School House 2.25 x 3.0
Second layer Frame 2.35 x 4.0
Snowflakes- Christmas 1.0 x 1.0

I put diamond glaze over the branch arms to make them strong and shinny
I used Platinum ink (Stampin up) mixed with water and sprayed over snowflakes to give them a silver shine.
Snow is Snowtex
I embossed the light blue layer with dots embossing folder Sizzix
Stamps on the envelope were - Happy Holidays postage stamp Stampabilities, snowflakes psx

I covered the address for the photo to protect privacy.
I'm really happy with how they turned out and I hope my co-workers enjoy them!
Happy Merry!

Oh Frank Halloween Box

I was inspired to create my own version of a frankenstein box after viewing the frank and little woman posted on Split Coast Stampers by Mackensie. I made my box from a simple template (See measurements below). I cut the hair using my Cricut Platnum School grass (9 1/2" 1 1/2"). I Cut misc circles for the eyes using my cricut. I used the tab punch (cut in half) from Stampin up for the nose. I highlighted with green ink, hand drew the scars and mouth. I filled a cellophane bag with candy and tied a hand stamped Happy Halloween with a black ribbon. I made a bunch of these for my husbands co-workers.

Box Info: Cut Card-stock at 6" X 9 1/2". Score 1 1/2" from the bottom. Score from the side at 1 1/2", 4", 5 1/2", and 8". Cut off one square from the bottom left. Fold on all score lines and glue to create box.

Cricut Serenade Bird Cage Card TAKE 3

This version used techniques from the previous two cards. I put the bird inside the birdcage and glued the front to the back just like card #1. This time I left the cage suspended in the opening and attached the top with twine. Like card #2 I stamped the swirls on the front of the card this time using 3 different shades of brown. I hope you enjoy these cards......
happy crafting!

Cricut Serenade Bird Cage Card TAKE 2

Here is my next version of the Serenade Bird Cage card. It is much simpler and so much easier to make. The base of the card is 10" x 6" scored at 5". I marked the front of the card in the center and cut the birdcage on shadow center point at 3.8". I cut one birdcage at 4", I cut one set of birdcage layer at 4.5". I cut one birds at 1.5" and two wings. I stamped the swirl randomly on the front of the card in old paper (Tim Holtz). I stamped the flowers in groups of three is red. I put a gem in the middle of each flower. I sponged the edges to give an older look. I glued the birdcage to the opening with attaching the sides of the layered strips. I glued the bird to the inside of the card so that is is showing through the birdhouse in the front. I stamped the saying "your friendship means the world to me" in Brown on the inside and hand wrote my message. I gave it to my friend Sheila at work today........ She loved it : )
