July Mini Birthday Album

My sister Cathy's Birthday is July 30 but she celebrates all month.
I made her a little July Mini as a birthday present.

I started with a Graphic 45 cut apart sheet I bought at my local stamp store for $1.00
I used one of the cut out images for the front.  I made a embellishment from burlap, scrap ribbon, a white flower brad and Stampin Up birthday banner.  The mini is 4.25 wide X 5.5 high.  I used a magnetic closure.
I used the cut outs and tags to help decorate along with designer paper from the back of the paper.
I free hand cut the stars and added a little bling.
I love little flip tabs and I added one to the next page.  Each of the photo mats are
removable so she can put pictures on both sides.
The back of the flip tab has a journaling spot.
The next page has two photo mats.
The last pages have pockets with stamps,  There are journaling tags and photo mats.
The inside flip tab is a post card.  I thought that would make a great
journaling spot.

The album came together quickly.  I hope she likes it.

Cricut Dog Card and Layout

While at a scrapbook retreat with Girls Ink I made my swap cards for the kids birthday swap over at Swap your heart out. I used the Cricut (cant remember cartridge sorry) and made the card an easel card.   After finishing my swap cards I had leftover paper so I made a matching layout.
It says Oh Happy Day and the easel lays flat for mailing.
There is a pull out journaling card and a Pile of Bones..... it is a happy day for this puppy.

Baby Shower Banner

I made this banner for my Niece Sophie's baby shower.  I wanted to keep it simple so she could hang it in the babies room after the shower.  I  used the cricut to cut the letters (storybook) Nestability dies to cut the layers, and boho punch to make the flowers.

Baby Shower Invitations Paper Dresses

These are the baby shower invitations I did for my sister in law Allison.  I created the invitations on My digital studio and glued the card onto the front of a clear envelope.

I blurred out the address and RSVP information to protect their privacy.
Inside I put a paper dress (cut from Cricut paper dolls) with instructions for the guests to "write advise to the parents to be and bring back to the shower".  At the shower there was a clothes line with clothespins for everyone to hang up their dresses.  They came out really cute.

Missing in Action

It has been ages since my last blog post.  I have been crafting I have just not posted my projects because my life has been crazy busy.   Kids moving out, kids moving in, moving my craft room, vacation, work, etc.... Today my friend Rona and I went to the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington.  It was our first time attending and we had the best day ever.

I got to meet Tim Holtz (Woooo Hooo).  He was exactly as I expected he would be inspiring, kind, genuine, and adorable.  We were front row for his demos and we spent way too much money in the Stampers Anonymous Booth.

I  came home and was inspired to get right in my craft room.  I made a Tim Holtz inspired Graduation Card for my friend Nick.  It was fun playing with all my new toys.
It is made to sit up with a little easel fold under the main flap

I added a little flip book with pictures of his family.

Thanks for stopping by... I hope to post more projects soon.
