Scrap Challenge Project #10

Valentines Treat Box

I can't believe I created 10 projects in 3 days. I'm off to a great start making all my valentine gifts. For my final project I decorated a treat box. I purchased the boxes (pack of 10) at Dollar Tree in the wedding section. I loved the last project Key to my heart and used all the same supplies with addition of Label Punch. I filled the box with chocolate and some decorative tissue paper. I'm planning to give these to my new friends at work.
Until Next time...

Scrap Challenge Project #7

KiKi's Folded Dog Card
Today my niece Kiara showed me how to make a folded dog out of a piece of printer paper. I thought it was so cute so I decided to create my own version... you guessed it using scraps.

How I made the card.
1. I folded a piece of 8 1/2" square paper corner to corner making a rectangle.
2. I marked in 4 1/2 " from each side of the folded edge.
3. I folded down the corner to the 4 1/2" mark to make the ears.
4. I cut the top layer only between the ear and the face (only to the fold)
5. I punched an oval from each ear. I put a piece of beige paper behind and taped the ear down.
6. I covered the inside (top layer only) of the face with lighter paper.
7. I punched out all the pieces to make the face and collar (see diagram below)
8. To hold the ears down I put a fancy clip with a ribbon
9. I finished it off with Huge goggly eyes....

This shows the opened ear. Each Oval area is a great place to write a message.

This is when the head and ears are flipped open. I think I will add a piece of cream paper to the inside to write my message.

This was a fun project and I can't wait to see what other paper animals Kiki teaches me to make....

Scrap Challenge Project #6

Kissing Valentine Fish Card
I went to a 3rd Wednesday Card shoppe in December and was given a really cute Valentine Fish Card. I recreated the card using scraps. I punched the fish using stampin up ornament punch out of textured card stock. I cut the fins, tail, and lips from small heart punch. I stamped the green plants from Asian Artistry stamp set Stampin Up and inked the edges blue to look like water. I stamped Happy Valentines day from Teeny Tiny Wishes stampin up and punched with the Window punch. Thanks Chrisitian and Kiki for making this card with me...

Scrap Challenge Project #5

Simple Pocket Tag Card
I used my new Tim Holtz Die Tag and Bookplates. I stamped random images in black on the front from K I memories clear stamp set Crazy Love. For the back I stamped Felt with the Heart from Stampabilities.

I'm half way there to my goal of 10 projects....

Scrap Challenge Project #4

Joy Fold Card
At monthly Stamp Club at my Friend Joyce's house we learned how to make a Joy fold card. Here is my version using paper scraps. I stamped the front with Teeny Tiny Wishes Happy Valentines day Stampin up and punched with oval and scalloped punched. I used Cricut Doodle Charms for the hearts both inside and out. I embossed the hearts with my circle embossing folder. For the inside I stamped Valentine message and L is for Love from Grateful Greeting Stampin up. I punched two hearts using the Stampin up heart punch. I put three small pearls to finish it off. I'm off to a good start......

Scrap Challenge Project #3

Recessed Window Card
I found this project on Split Coast Stampers and used the tutorial to make this card. I used all scrap paper excluding the red base. I stamped the inside of the window with Box of Love from Stampabilities. I stamped Happy Valentines day using stampin up Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched with the oval and scalloped punches. I tied a piece of scrap ribbon on the front and punched flowers from another piece of scrap. For the inside i used the center square I cut from the front and layered on pink paper. I punched a circle flower and scallop and added to white paper. I punched the bird using the stampin up two step bird punch.

Scrap Challenge Project #2

For this card I layered scrap polk a dot paper on a black paper. I punched a border using Fiskar punch. I stamped Live, Love, laugh and be happy Stampablilites and matted on red and black. I wrapped with black ribbon and tied in a knot. I also decorated the inside of the card.
2 down 8 to go........

Scrap Challenge Project #1

I have tons of scrap paper and a list of projects I've been wanting to try. I am going to try and challenge myself to make at least 10 projects in three days. So here I go....
Project #1 Simple Thank You Card
I used Red paper base, white embosed center Tim Holtz Alterations, Misc scrap stripped paper, black strips cut with my scissors. I stamped thank you and punched with oval punch and scalloped punch.

Owl Punch Thank You Card

I made these cards using my new Tim Holtz tree embossing folder. The base of the card is Green Card stock. I used Brown for the tree, punched a hole in the tree trunk, and inserted the punched owl. I used the stamp Thanks a Bunch-Best of the Bunch from Stampin UP and punched with the oval punch and scalloped Oval. It was super fast and easy and I love the way it turned out.
