Bible Art Journaling Provebs 31:25

For this page I did the following:
Prepared the page with Gesso (Clear)
Stamped the cute doll stamp (Julie Nutting) Mixed Media Doll Stamp) with permanent ink
Used water colors.
Highlighted the verse (plus the others on the page that spoke to me)
Then I wrote the verse on her dress and dated the page.

My goals for Bible Art Journaling are to spend more time in the word and also to try new art techniques.

Wedding Card

I have seen these cute wedding dress cards all over Pinterest.  I could not find one that had a template that I could download on my apple so I created my own version.

Directions:
The card base is 6 1/2" x 10" scored on the 10" side at 3 1/2" and 8".
The insert (cream) is 4 1/4" x 6 1/4"
The inside pocket ($5 was just to see if it fit ha ha) 3 1/4" x 2 1/4"

For the Tux:
The shirt is made from Stampin up tab punch.  I just cut the corners to make the shirt.
The Tux is 1/2 of a 4" square cut in half to make a triangle and a slit cut in the middle and sides folded back.
I used the boho punch to cut 5 small flowers attached with a brad and fluffed.
For the dress:
I took a piece of printer paper and hand drew a dress.  I picked the side I liked best, folded the paper in half and cut out only the best side.  This gave me a mirror cut out on each side.  When I was happy with the template I cut out the dress on card stock.
I embossed the dress (don't know the name of the folder)
Then I punched two small holes, threaded tulle and tied in a bow.  I added 3 mini pearls to the top of the dress

As you can see the dress overlaps the black (Tux area) and is slightly longer than the card base.  The shirt sits up slightly over the top of the card.

This card fit perfectly into an 5 1/4" x 7 1/4" envelope.

Banner Swap

My craft group Swap Your Heart Out had a banner swap this month.  This is my contribution.
I used cording and painted chip board slightly larger than a shipping tag.  I used distress inks, stamps, and misc trinkets to complete.  They are clipped to the bases with tim holts clips so the words can easily be changes.  The letters were done using my Cricut.

Wedding Shower Mini Album

I made a mini album for my friend Katie's bridal shower.  I used the hidden hinge
binding system.  Each page is interactive and has a quote about marriage
in the page pocket.
On page one I used the Stampin up mini bags (Im obsessed with them).  I also
used misc paper throughout the entire book.

On page two I used the Cricut for their initials and also used the Stampin up die
that looks like a Polaroid. I used this again later i n the book.

I kept page three pretty simple

on page four I put a magnet behind the latch (on right) which opens and has
room inside for additional pictures.

on page five the right side flips up to hold pictures

on page six I added some tabs and pull outs.
The last page has some tags and the left side flips up.

Altered Journal Swap

My craft group Swap Your Heart Out recently had a "one on one" Altered Journal Swap.  We each made one altered Journal and traded with another member.  They were all amazing.
I get inspired every time we are together…
