Sail Away Thanks

My husbands friend Paul invited us out on his sail boat.  We had a great time and to thank him I made a card that looks like his boat "mr cocktail".  I made a standard tent card, used cricut for the water, clouds, and boat base.  I free hand cut the sails and the top flag.  I put an american flag toothpick off the back, colored in the windows with a black pen and wrote his boat name.  To finish it off I used kite string and a hole punch.

Shane's Toad-aly Cool Valentines

This project was entered in the P3 February Challenge you should check out all the great projects.

For this project we used; Large Circle Punch (Stomach), Med Oval Punch (tummy, legs, arms), Small Circle Punch (eyes), Small Heart Punch, and Three flower punch (feet).  We glued on Google eyes and used the Tab punch to hold the sucker.  I cut the sign from my cricut and arrows were an arrow punch.  They came out really cute.  The Happy Valentines day is Stampin up Teeny Tiny Stamps.

Shane wanted to make his valentines more "boyish"  This is what we came up with.
We made a matching box for his valentines party.

At the top of his decorated shoe box we put a sign that says drop Valentines Here.  Just in case
they didn't see the opening there are tons of arrows pointing the way.

Here is how they came out.  He was able to make them all by himself... even the smiles....

Rock Star Valentine

I wanted to make a Valentine for my Son Justin.  Don't tell him but I used the Guitar from the Hanna Montana stamp set I got at Walmart a few years ago.  To make the Guitar panel I first stamped the guitar in black on cream card stock.  I stamped the image again on mustard and red.  I cut out the red portion and punched a small circle in the base.  I layered it on top of the mustard so that it showed through the opening. I raised the base of the guitar with pop dots to give it dimension.  I used scrap music paper for the front and added a little color to the inside as well.  I hand wrote the You Rock on the front.  I sure hope he likes it because he does Rock!!!!

Sweet Birthday Bear-SC318

Split Coast Stampers Challenge SC318
For this challenge I created this
Sweet Birthday Bear Card

Supplies I used:
Stamps:  Banner Bear Hero Arts (1991), Tiny Paw Fun Stamps (1989), Happy Birthday Stampin Up Vintage Labels.
Copic Markers:  Pale Pink, Light Walnut, Dual Ivory
Paper/Ribbon:  Scraps

How I made it:
1.  I stamped the bear stamp once on white card stock  (2 1/4" x  2 1/2") and twice on pink card stock.
2.  I colored in the bear using copic markers.
3.  I cut out the first banner and just the front of the second banner.
4.  I stamped Happy Birthday on the front piece.
5.  To assemble the banner I just placed the full banner down first and using pop dots popped up the center piece.
6.  I applied Ranger Stickles (icicle) over the banner.
7.  I layered the white square onto a pink square (2 1/2" x 2 3/4") and a brown square (2 3/4" x 3") and rounded all the corners with punch.
8.  I layered stripped paper (3 7/8" x 5 1/8") onto brown card stock (4" x 5 3/8")
9.  I tied the pink ribbon around before gluing to a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" kraft base.
10. For the inside I cut a white paper 4" x 5".  I layered on the left side brown strip 1 1/8" x 5", and patterned strip 7/8" x 5".  I stamped paw prints up from the right corner.

I really loved this layout and think I will use it again soon.
Thanks for stopping by.
