Christmas Countdown Day 15

My friend Melissa asked me to cut some shapes on my Cricut for a Christmas Gift she was working on.  She made adorable picture frames with the names of the kids in her bible study class.  My other friend Linda liked them so much she made some for her grandkids.  Thanks so much for sharing your ideas with me Melissa and Linda!

All images were cut with the Cricut (wild west and doodle charms)

Christmas Countdown Day 13

Last year I got an email project (I think from papertreyink) with a similar tree using a wire form from Hobby Lobby.  I searched everywhere and could not find the link or the email (sorry).  I made this version from memory.  It has clips to hold 4 photos and has a few different stamps.  I love the way it turned out.  If I ever find the link I'll be sure to post it.

Christmas Countdown Day 2

This is a great kids Craft.  The base is just a 2x4" piece of scrap wood painted white.  The faces are just painted with paint pens.  The hat is scrap T shirts wrapped around the top and glued.  We put a piece of tissue paper inside the hat to help it stand up.  We added a scrap fabric scarf.  Super easy and really cute.

Until Tomorrow!

Christmas Countdown Day 1

I love Christmas and wanted to challenge myself to post a Christmas Project everyday until Christmas.
I made this Christmas Countdown at Scrappin Bunnies in Mckinney Texas.  It was a great class and I love the way the advent turned out.  I added a scripture under each day to help me remember the real meaning of Christmas.  I found the scriptures here: 25 days of Scripture.
Happy Holidays!

Thanks Giving Place Cards

Each year I make place cards for our Thanksgiving table.

For this project I used 4"x 12" piece of dark brown card-stock scored at 1", 6" and 11".  I folded on the score lines and put a piece of sticky strip to hold the bottom of the tent.  I added a 4"x 4 1/2" piece of designer paper.  I printed out the poem (below) using my computer and layered it on a 3 3/4" x 2 3/4" piece of rust paper.  I used the Tim Holtz medium rosette with scrap paper.  I printed the names on the computer using MDS (My Digital Studio) Stampin up and punched them out with the 1 1/4" circle punch.  I layered onto a 1 3/8" punched rust circle.  I distressed the edges with brown ink.

Poem by my nephew Christian Reid (14 years old)

I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

Justin's Birthday Treat Boxes

I made these boxes for my son's 17th Birthday.  We celebrated by taking him and 7 of  his best friends out to dinner.  I made each guest a Treat Box with a variety of pictures of the Birthday Boy at different ages.  They were a huge hit and fun conversation starter.

The boxes were super simple to make.  I made a basic square box using a 5 1/2" X 10 1/2" piece of black card stock.  I scored the short side at 2 1/2", 5", 7 1/2" and 10".  I scored the long side at 3".  I cropped a variety of pictures at 2 1/4" x 2 3/4" and taped them to the front.  I filled the boxes with candy and lotto tickets.  I placed the box in a cello bag and tied a bow.

Best Witches

I made these boxes for my husband to give to the girls at work.
I made the box by cutting an 11"x 5" piece of green paper.  I scored at 1 1/4" from the edge of each long side and scored 4 1/2" from each short side.  For the hair I cut strips of black paper and crimped.  I free hand cut the hat and used the window punch (stampin up) for the band and distressed with white paint.  For the eyes I used the 1" circle punch for the white portion and the green eyelids.  I glued on black strips of paper and cut the eye lashes.  For the inside of the eye I used the Owl Punch (stampin up).  For the mouth I used the label punch (stampin up).  The nose was the window punch.  I added a green pearl for the wart.  The "Best Witches" stamp is from Stampendous.

Senior October Craft

I made Oh Frank boxes last year and revised them and used them again.  I pre made the boxes and punched all the details ahead of time.  I made every piece into a sticker so it was easy for the seniors to decorate their boxes.
The changes I made this year was adding the ears (tab punch) and for the hair I just cut black paper with decorative scissors.  For box sizes see my previous post "Oh Frank".

Easy Halloween Treats

My mom wanted to make some Halloween treats to give to her friends at work.  I designed a super easy project that was easy to assemble.
I used Black card stock for the base 2 3/4"x 4".  I folded in half and added a layer of halloween paper (the Paper Studio) cut at 2 1/2" x 1 3/4".  I created the message on a Word document and punched them out using the large label punch (stampin up).  I added a punched bat (stampin up) and stapled to the top of a treat bag (stampin up).  We filled half with pencils and half with M&M's.  It only took us about an hour to make 80..... She is very proud of the way they turned out.

Thanksgiving Layout

Last weekend I went to a scrapbook retreat in Wylie, TX.   Priceless Memories Retreat  The owner Rita was awesome and we all had a great time.  Most of the ladies were doing 2 page layouts so Sunday morning I decided to give it a try.  Here is the 1st of three layouts I did.

For this page I stamped the letters Give Thanks on beige card stock.  I punched the letters out with a 1" circle punch.  I layered that on a 1 1/4" black circle.  I attached to a tag I cut on the Cricut (Wild West).  I added brads at the top and used pop dots for dimension.

For this side I ran the beige scrap though my embossing folder (notepaper). I cut the tree with my Cricut and punched tons of leaves from scrap paper.

Halloween BOO Card

For this card I used Stampin up embossing folder, pendent punch, pendent stamp sent and tiny wishes.  The ghost is from Cricut-Everyday paper dolls.  I used my computer for the BOO and printed on orange paper.  I then punched with the tiny circle.  The card is 4"x4" so even with the ghost it fits into a regular envelope.  Thanks for stopping by...
