Wedding Shower Mini Album

I made a mini album for my friend Katie's bridal shower.  I used the hidden hinge
binding system.  Each page is interactive and has a quote about marriage
in the page pocket.
On page one I used the Stampin up mini bags (Im obsessed with them).  I also
used misc paper throughout the entire book.

On page two I used the Cricut for their initials and also used the Stampin up die
that looks like a Polaroid. I used this again later i n the book.

I kept page three pretty simple

on page four I put a magnet behind the latch (on right) which opens and has
room inside for additional pictures.

on page five the right side flips up to hold pictures

on page six I added some tabs and pull outs.
The last page has some tags and the left side flips up.

Dream Journal

This project was also inspired by a video I saw on youtube. It is called One Sheet Wonder Mini Album.  You can see her tutorial here: Traci Cornelius.  Instead of a mini album I made mine into a Dream Journal for my daughter.  I thought she could write down her hopes, dreams and goals for the next year. I made the journal artistic to match her personality.
For the front cover I added a piece of Card Candy I received from our Swap you heart out
Card Candy Swap a few months ago.

I added the creative quotes on the paper pack.
I mixed up the a paper to give it a cheery feeling. There is a little pocket on the front of the middle section for me to write a special note on a tag.
Inside each pocket is double sided journaling spot.

I hope Sasha likes it!

Prayer Journals

I was watching you tube and came across a wonderful teacher.  She did a tutorial on a multi purpose book. It could be used for so many different things.  I made mine into prayer journals.  For a great tutorial on how to make the base check out Elaine's video here: Paper craft Button
For my books I used paper that was not my favorite design.  I stamped Life is Fragile stamp and layered it onto card stock and attached to the belly band.  I added simple punched flowers to give it a little color and the inside of the good with the pick flower on top has pink pages inside.  They came together very fast and would make a great gift.

Mini in a Box

I made this mini album in a box for a recent swap at Swap your heart Out.  I got the box from Michaels $1 bin and painted it black.  I covered with designer paper and added a magnetic closure.

Inside the box on the first square I stamped one of my favorite sayings.

The inside comes out and has places to add photos and journaling

The back side of the pull out.

Christmas Mini Album Ornament

Every Year I have made my kids a Christmas Ornament with their picture.  Well they are all grown up and not as interested in having their adult pictures plastered all over my tree.  This year i decided to do a  mini album that could hold the entire families pictures a little more tastefully.  The mini book is made out of 12" x 6" card stock.  It is the same concept as one sheet mini album (lots of tutorials on You Tube).  I used 1/2 sheet of paper to make it lighter.  The book is 3" x 3".

The cover was stamped with Santa's list stamp set from stampin up.  I printed the 2013 on my computer and made a simple bakers twine and brad closure.  I put a loop of ribbon at the top so it can easily be hung on the Christmas Tree.

I love how they turned out and made several for my family and friends.

Inside are 8 pages to put pictures, write memories, or anything else I can think of.

July Mini Birthday Album

My sister Cathy's Birthday is July 30 but she celebrates all month.
I made her a little July Mini as a birthday present.

I started with a Graphic 45 cut apart sheet I bought at my local stamp store for $1.00
I used one of the cut out images for the front.  I made a embellishment from burlap, scrap ribbon, a white flower brad and Stampin Up birthday banner.  The mini is 4.25 wide X 5.5 high.  I used a magnetic closure.
I used the cut outs and tags to help decorate along with designer paper from the back of the paper.
I free hand cut the stars and added a little bling.
I love little flip tabs and I added one to the next page.  Each of the photo mats are
removable so she can put pictures on both sides.
The back of the flip tab has a journaling spot.
The next page has two photo mats.
The last pages have pockets with stamps,  There are journaling tags and photo mats.
The inside flip tab is a post card.  I thought that would make a great
journaling spot.

The album came together quickly.  I hope she likes it.

Missing in Action

It has been ages since my last blog post.  I have been crafting I have just not posted my projects because my life has been crazy busy.   Kids moving out, kids moving in, moving my craft room, vacation, work, etc.... Today my friend Rona and I went to the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington.  It was our first time attending and we had the best day ever.

I got to meet Tim Holtz (Woooo Hooo).  He was exactly as I expected he would be inspiring, kind, genuine, and adorable.  We were front row for his demos and we spent way too much money in the Stampers Anonymous Booth.

I  came home and was inspired to get right in my craft room.  I made a Tim Holtz inspired Graduation Card for my friend Nick.  It was fun playing with all my new toys.
It is made to sit up with a little easel fold under the main flap

I added a little flip book with pictures of his family.

Thanks for stopping by... I hope to post more projects soon.

Shane's Birthday VW Mini Album

For my nephew Shane's birthday I made a VW mini Album. The front and back cover are coasters. The inside is 3 1/2" accordion fold card stock. I put a die cut School Bus (Thanks Rona) on the front but changed it into a VW Bus by adding the V shape in the front and the peace emblem. The inside is decorated with family pictures, stickers, and mirrored paper with personal notes on the back. I hope he likes it as much as I do!

Kiki's Birthday Book

I made this little purse for my niece Kiara. I covered with decorative paper and added pictures. It was super fast and easy and she loved it. I put a gift card inside the pocket in the back. When I called her to tell her I had shipped her gift she said "I know what you are sending me" when I asked what? she replied "Art".
