Dream Journal

This project was also inspired by a video I saw on youtube. It is called One Sheet Wonder Mini Album.  You can see her tutorial here: Traci Cornelius.  Instead of a mini album I made mine into a Dream Journal for my daughter.  I thought she could write down her hopes, dreams and goals for the next year. I made the journal artistic to match her personality.
For the front cover I added a piece of Card Candy I received from our Swap you heart out
Card Candy Swap a few months ago.

I added the creative quotes on the paper pack.
I mixed up the a paper to give it a cheery feeling. There is a little pocket on the front of the middle section for me to write a special note on a tag.
Inside each pocket is double sided journaling spot.

I hope Sasha likes it!

Prayer Journals

I was watching you tube and came across a wonderful teacher.  She did a tutorial on a multi purpose book. It could be used for so many different things.  I made mine into prayer journals.  For a great tutorial on how to make the base check out Elaine's video here: Paper craft Button
For my books I used paper that was not my favorite design.  I stamped Life is Fragile stamp and layered it onto card stock and attached to the belly band.  I added simple punched flowers to give it a little color and the inside of the good with the pick flower on top has pink pages inside.  They came together very fast and would make a great gift.

Masculine Card Portfolio

My son Justin wanted to send out a Thank you card to a friend. He said all of my cards were "too Girly" So I made him a little portfolio with 4 cards. I'm very proud he still sends thank you cards…..
I did an easy pocket cover with a magnetic closure (I love magnets)  Because I was going for masculine I kept the outside from very plane.
I stated with a 6x6 card base (Michaels) and added layer of black and designer paper.
I could not find a masculine Thank you card in my stash so I  used Word and printed off my computer.
I Put a clip on the inside and added stamps so all he has to do is address and send.
He has already used two and I'm a very proud mama.

Mini in a Box

I made this mini album in a box for a recent swap at Swap your heart Out.  I got the box from Michaels $1 bin and painted it black.  I covered with designer paper and added a magnetic closure.

Inside the box on the first square I stamped one of my favorite sayings.

The inside comes out and has places to add photos and journaling

The back side of the pull out.

Mothers Day Tea Tables

Every Year I host two tables at an assisted livings mothers day tea.  Here are the two tables My mother and I sponsored this year.

For the centerpiece on this table I used books, gloves, a metal basket filled with apples, a garden tin from my house and fresh flowers in a metal tin.  For the placemats I just cut burlap.  The napkin rings are TP rolls with Crimped paper and I clipped a flower to ti for color.

This was our garden table.  We had garden hats for each guest (dollar tree) and the napkin rings had clip on flowers that the ladies clipped to their hat ribbon.
For the gift bags we added glued seed packets to the front of a small lunch bag. The guest at this table said they felt like they were at a garden party.

For the Luau  table we got creative. And used lots of items from the Dollar Tree including,  dish drying pads for the placements, pink flamingo wine glasses, leis (3/$1), paper pineapple and hawaiian girl.
The napkin rings were made from TP rolls covered with crimped paper.  I just glued a pink flower on top to give some color.  For a little gift we filled colorful takeout containers with mints and chocolate.

I used two of my house plants, my surfboard cutting board, and misc. mixed china.  The guest at this table described it as "a really fun party"

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Balloon Arch

This is a balloon arch I made for the baby shower.  I made the base using PVC pipe with Repair Couplings to help with the arch.  My husband made a cement base with a piece of pipe (used as a sleeve)  large enough to hold the PVP pipe.  It took about 1 hour to put together and the base is reusable.

Spring Banner Swap

I was recently in a banner swap #somebunnyluvsyou2014 and this is the banner I made for my swap partner.  I used corrugated cardboard and painted it with a white wash.  I made handmade rosettes, scrap paper, and used my cricut to make the letters.  I added beads and scrap fabric between the letters.  On each side i used the Tim Holtz birdcage die and stampin up flower punches and bird punch.  I'll post some pictures soon of the awesome banner I received.
